An aircraft belonging to Skydive Dubai ran off a runway while attempting to land in Dubai Marina on Friday, according to a tweet from the Dubai Media Office.
"Skydive plane deviates off course while landing, resulting in minor accident. No passengers on board and pilot uninjured," the tweet read.
An Associated Press reporter saw the Skydive Dubai propeller aircraft at the end of its runway in the Dubai Marina where it crashed on Friday, its nose tipping down over the breakers running along the water.
On its Facebook page, Skydive Dubai noted that the incident occurred "due to yet as unknown circumstances" and that local authorities are already investigating.
On Twitter, Skydive Dubai tweeted:
Late this morning we had an incident with one of our aircraft which caused it to go off the runway at our Palm DZ. (1/2) #SkydiveDubai
