The General Department of Traffic of the Dubai Police has referred a motorcyclist to the Dubai prosecution to take action against his companion for showing an indecent action with his fingers in front of a radar when he realised he was being photographed by the machine.
According to Colonel Saif Mohair Al Mazroui, Director of the General Department of Traffic for the Dubai Police, the owner of the motorcycle was called in and he admitted to the incident and informed that the person who rode pillion had come from his country on visit, and that they were near the Dubai Mall when the incident happened.
Dh7,000 for breaking camera's glass
In another case, a man broke the special camera glass of the radar while on the Jebel Ali-Al Soufoh Road.
Al Mazroui said both offenders were referred to the public prosecutor to complete investigation. The perpetrator who broke the glass was charged with destruction of state property.
Al Mazroui pointed out that the glass of the camera costs Dh7,000 and hence the suspect will have to pay the amount to the department.
