An unidentified man died and another was injured during a horrific traffic accident that involved three heavy trucks on Emirates Road - between Al Zurabir to Al Rahmaniya. The police said that the three trucks caught fire due to the impact of the accident and strong temperature levels.
The collision also caused traffic congestion on the road for over five hours. The road was blocked temporarily and traffic was diverted to alternative roads.
Police said that they received a call at the operation room and immediately dispatched traffic patrols, experts and ambulances to the area. When the police reached the site, they found one of the drivers dead, and another with moderate injuries. The police rushed the injured to the hospital while the body of the deceased was transferred to the morgue.
