More than 50 international speakers including Dr. Edward J. Hoffman, Chief Knowledge Officer, Nasa, will participate at this year's Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF).
Announcing the second edition of the DIPMF from November 22-24, Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA, said: "We are keen on hosting prominent international speakers to share their experiences, practices and success stories in various fields of project management industry. Themes covered by speakers will cover the infrastructure, transportation, economy, trade, finance, sport, and art with particular emphasis on innovation and creativity in keeping with the UAE's drive designating 2015 as a Year of Innovation."
The event, which is held under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, under the theme: Project Management in Support of Innovation, is being organised by the RTA in collaboration with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Emaar Properties, Project Management Institute (PMI).
Speakers from the UAE include Engineer Suhail Mohammed Al Mazroui, Minister of Energy and Engineer Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, who is the incumbent Minister of Economy since 2008, and Minister of Government Sector Development. Speakers also include Dr Ruediger Grube, chairman and CEO of Deutsche Bahn Company, Mark A. Langley, president and CEO of PMI and Dr. Terry Cooke-Davies, a consultant to blue-chip organisations for over 20 years will address the forum.
The forum will host Dr Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, one of the young leaders in the Government of Dubai, who developed his personal abilities and utilised them to boost government performance. Another delegate is Tom Kelly, General Manager of The Edo Company, a leading company in design and development.
The second edition of the DIPMF will discuss a wide range of topics including Expo 2020, aviation sector, creativity and innovation, health care, education, financial services, hospitality, and digital projects.
