A resident lost nine teeth after he was beaten up by three compatriots, a Dubai court heard.
According to prosecution records, the 44-year-old Nigerian, a commercial broker, was physically assaulted by three of his countrymen on May 11 in Naif.
The three (a PRO, a visitor and a supervisor) all denied in the Court of First Instance a physical assault leading to permanent injury charge and claimed the complaint has been withdrawn by the victim. The assault victim said that he received a phone call on the incident day from one of the accused.
"I was at my work in Sharjah when one of the defendants called to say he wanted to see me. I went to them and we took a cab to Naif area".
He added that as he was about to step off the cab when one of the defendants (the 24-year-old PRO) dragged him by force out of the car and punched and kicked him all over his body. He said he was injured and lost 9 teeth in the attack.
He was rushed to hospital and later lodged a complaint at Naif police.
The Pakistani taxi driver said three Africans rode in his car in Al Nahda.
"One of them told me to drop them at the Naif police station. But then another told me to stop at a gas station. There was another African there and he opened the back door of the car and punched and beat one of the passengers. He ran away afterwards".
The forensic report said the victim lost nine teeth in the attack.
