A jilted lover was arrested in connection with the murder of a woman whose body was found in a bag in her apartment in Dubai.
The Dubai Police solved the mysterious case in less than two weeks after the gruesome incident. According to Dubai Police, the operation room was informed by an Asian who was working in Jebel Ali that a Vietnamsese woman employee identified as N.C. was missing and she did not come to work since April 16.
The employee told the police that he tried to contact in her phone but she was not responding. The Dubai Police immediately headed to a residential building located behind Burjman in Bur Dubai area where the woman was residing. When the police opened her flat in the fifth floor, everything looked normal, except for one locked room. The police opened the door and they spotted a bag thrown in the middle of the room and when they open it they found the dead body of the victim. There were bruises on the face of the deceased.
After examining the crime scene, the police referred the body to the forensic medicine department. The Dubai Police formed a team and within six hours they managed to identify the Arab suspect. During the investigation, the police found that the suspect has a relationship with the victim. The police set a trap and arrested the suspect AK from a bakery near his work place in Jebel Ali.
He confessed to the police that he started his relation with the victim in a night club in Dubai and it grew stronger and he started coming to her flat. Later, disputes happened between them and she started neglecting him. He started feeling that she was seeing someone else.
However, on April 13, he called her and said that he wanted to discuss their relation. He arrived at 9:30 and when they started discussing the issue, the woman told him she wanted to break up with him. Without waiting for a reply from him, she went towards the bathroom and that put him in a fit of rage. Holding her from back, he strangled her until she collapsed. When he realised she had died, he did not know what to do with the dead body. Then he saw the bag and placed her in it and closed it.
He then went to her cupboard and stole 2 Rolex watches, Dh4,500, her phones and gold. The police recovered these items from his home later.
