January 1 will see VAT being implemented and just before the five per cent tax comes into effect, Yas Mall retailers are offering residents discounts up to 90 per cent for five days starting from Tuesday.
There is also a 'Spend and Win' promotion, i.e, anyone who shops for Dh300 at any of the outlets will enter a grand draw to win Dh50,000.
There are up to 370 retailers and most of them are offering discounts between 30 to 70 per cent. Additionally, there are also buy one get one free offers.
Fashion brands CentrePoint (25 to 70 per cent), House of Fraser (25 to 75 per cent), Red Tag (70 per cent), Pierre Cardin (75 per cent), Marks & Spencer (buy 1 get 1 free), Tryano (up to 50 per cent) and more have discounts on select items. Offers are also on footwear, health and beauty, cosmetics, perfumes, sportswear, watches and jewellery items. Brands like Alpha Optical, Rich Point and Qaratees have price offers of up to 90 per cent.
Yas Mall general manager Saoud Khoory said the five-day sale from Tuesday is a chance for the residents to take advantage of the last tax free-shopping this year.
