A four-year-old girl fell to his death from a fourth-floor balcony of a building located in Al Taawun area of Sharjah on Thursday, police said.
The girl, identified as Blessing. T, climbed onto a chair placed in the balcony, slipped and fell off. She died on the spot.
Police said that they received a call about the incident shortly afterwards, and dispatched a team to the site. A team of CID officers, forensic and patrols as well as the national ambulance reached the site and found the girl lying motionless and in a pool of blood.
The Al Buhairah police station is investigating the case. The girl's parents will be summoned for interrogation.
