UAE residents woke up to the year's first heavy fog on Thursday early morning, significantly reducing visibility on the roads.
The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) urged motorists to be cautious on roads due to fog over most areas and highways of the country.
Visibility was reduced to less than 50 metres. Fresh winds are expected to make the weather dusty during the day.
Temperature will fall to 7°C while reaching a maximum of 26°C.
The national met department also warned of rough seas in the Arabian Gulf, with wind speed of up to 40km/hr and 7ft high waves offshore.
