Two Dubai expats were caught on surveillance cameras stealing Dh80,000 worth of phones and watches from the shop they worked in, the Court of First Instance has heard. The Dubai public prosecution accused the two Pakistani men, including a fugitive, of stealing the items from the electronics shop in a mall.
The case dates back to December 23 last year and was registered at Al Muraqqabat police station.
The shop's legal consultant said: "After we conducted an inventory of the merchandise, we found that the two employees had stolen some items by hiding them in their backpacks or in boxes."
The CCTC footage has been enclosed to the case file and so has the report of an accountancy expert.
