An Etisalat customer care representative told Khaleej Times in the morning that the problem that started at 6am was expected to be resolved by 12 pm.
Another customer care official confirmed at 12.30 pm that the issue was resolved at their end and customers who still faced problems should contact them for assistance.

The internet today is TERRIBLE! How is anyone able to get any work done?! @etisalat what's going on?! ??Arun Bennis Loftus who lives in Abu Dhabi told Khaleej Times, "The funniest part was my landlord who uses my internet for free thought that I had switched it off. He called me up when I was busy in the office saying that his wife could not access internet at home. He enquired if I had disconnected it before going to office. I had to tell him it wasn't me but a technical problem with Etisalat."
