A teenager sustained gruesome injuries and fractures all over his body after the quad bike he was riding on late Thursday evening flipped over several times.
The 15-year-old Emirati teenager, based in Al Dheit area, had been riding his quad bike at high speed without wearing a helmet.
He was heading to a nearby cooperative society, according to his father.
Muhammad Ashraf, an eyewitness, said he saw the teenager immediately after he catapulted from his vehicle.
"We instantly call the RAK police operations room for help," he said.
Medical sources said the teenager, A.A.S, suffered a deep cut on the head, fractured skull, and internal bleeding.
He was admitted to the intensive care unit at Saqr hospital suffering from excessive bleeding at around 9pm.
Medical staff could not operate on him due to the sensitivity of brain tissue as a result of his extensive injuries.
He was placed on a ventilator until his condition stablised.
Many kids were seen riding such quad and motorbikes without helmets or following safety rules.
