Dubai's Emirates airline announced the cancellation of several flights to Manila due to an issue concerning the runway of the Philippines' international airport.
Customers are advised that following the closure of the primary runway at Manila's international airport due a disabled aircraft on the runway, all Emirates flights to/from Manila today, 17 August, have therefore had to be cancelled.

"Customers are advised to contact their local travel agent or Emirates booking offices for assistance. Customers are also requested ensure their contact details are correct by visiting Manage Your Booking to receive update notifications. We apologise for any inconvenience," Emirates tweeted on Friday.
The closure of the primary runway at Manila's international airport has affected our flight operations to/from Manila.
Following Emirates flights have been cancelled.
