The Dubai Police General Command has won the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) award for leadership in criminal sciences.
The award will be handed to the police at a ceremony to be held in October this year in Chicago, US.
The dean - first expert Ahmed Matar Al Muhairi, acting director of the general department of criminal evidence and criminology - said the award is a reflection of the guidance of Maj-Gen Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, and Maj-Gen Abdul Holy Abdul Razak, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for excellence and leadership.
The Dubai Police have won the category for their participation in the 'butcher case' of 2016.
