Two Asians have been arrested in Dubai for allegedly trying to sell large quantities of heroin. The duo was allegedly carrying out the crime as per instructions of a drug trafficker based in their home country, the police have said.
Major-General Khail Ibrahim Al Mansouri, assistant commander in chief of Dubai Police for criminal investigation, said the suspects were arrested red-handed in a sting operation.
The police arrested the duo after an undercover policeman posed as a buyer and met the suspects near a market.
The two suspects have been charged with possession of drugs with the intention of trafficking.
