Two of Dubai's mega projects will be ready by end of November, a top Dubai Municipality official said.
Speaking on the sidelines of announcing food safety conference, Eng. Hussain Lootah, director general of Dubai Municipality, said Dubai Safari and Dubai Frame will be both ready by end of November.
The public will be able to access Dubai Frame, the 150-metres high and 93-metres wide structure, in the next couple of months to experience a 360-degree view of Dubai as they walk through the bridge on high altitude glass bridge.
"Dubai Frame's official opening will be during the same time where Safari Park will be ready," he said.
Marwan Al Mohammed, Director of General Projects Department at Dubai Municipality, confirmed to Khaleej Times that Dubai Frame is 95 per cent complete, and will be operational by end of November. He added the gold cladding will be finished by early next month.
He said the frame's glass bridge is complete, and final touches remain on the gold cladding. The Dh160 million project that stands tall in Zaabeel park outline views towards the Emirates Towers and Burj Khalifa on one side and the Deira, Umm Harare and Karama from the other.
Dubai Safari to have its soft launch in November
Speaking to the press, Lootah said that Dubai Safari's soft launch will be in November for operations and testing. However, the official opening is yet to be confirmed as His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, will inaugurate it.
"By end of November, the park will be complete, said Lootah, noting that the municipality has "a lot of projects" to finish by end of this year.
Spread over 119 hectares, Dubai Safari is expected to house over 3,000 animals of different species. Located at Al Warqa-5, the Dh1 billion project will dedicate 80 hectares for the villages representing different regions of the world and 35 hectares for the Open Safari village.
The project aims to create the best habitat for the wildlife in the world, providing different environments that suit with various animals. It is also aimed at attracting visitors from various parts of the world, using modern interactive methods for viewing and movement to ensure a unique experience.
