Telecom company du has restored its mobile services after hours of outage, the company said in a statement to Khaleej Times.
"With regard to the degradation of du mobile services, experienced by some of our customers today, we would like to inform the impacted customers that all mobile services have now been restored. We identified the root cause and our technical teams responded swiftly to resolve it," the statement said.
Customers across Dubai and Abu Dhabi had been facing network issues since morning, and many of them took to social media to rant out their frustration. Many of them were unable to make or receive calls.
Earlier on Sunday, the company put out a tweet informing users about the outage, and said they were working on a solution.
Some of you may experience temporary issues with your mobile lines. Please bear with us, our team is working on fixing it.
