A truck driver has been charged with making criminal threats and trespass in the Court of First Instance.
The Indian truck driver, 27, allegedly intruded into compatriot sponsor's house and threatened to kill his family.
The case was reported to Al Qusais police on March 26.
"I was with my children at around 7:30pm in our flat when the accused barged inside through the door, which was not locked," said the 40-year-old Indian complainant, a housewife.
She added that the accused was very nervous.
"He was screaming at me to hand him over his passport. He did not believe that it was with my husband and he threatened to kill my children unless I gave it to him."
The accused fled the place, as she informed the security guard
The woman's husband, a 55-year-old businessman, confirmed having received a phone call from his wife informing him about the defendant's behavior.
A verdict is expected on June 8.
