Official teams of Dar Al Ber Society (Dabs), named 'Delegations of Giving', has visited deprived areas in Asia, Africa and Latin American continents, according to a top official.
The charity, committed to serving vulnerable people locally and abroad, is running 94 charity projects in 11 countries around the world.
"The visits help the society identify the direct needs of indigent people and those hit with disasters at disadvantaged areas wherever they are," the official said.
These visits also help boost sustainable development, turning the policy of the country and vision of the prudent leadership regarding charity work into a reality, he added. "Such philanthropic work is for all nationalities, religions and grounds."
The delegations visited Somalia, Mexico, Indonesia, Uganda, Benin, Burundi, Tanzania, Sudan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Thailand, Al Falasi added. "The visits cover 94 charitable, humanitarian, and developmental projects in these countries."
Imran Mohammed Abdullah, chairman of Dabs' charity sector, said the visits done in collaboration with Dar Al Ber strategic partners abroad, help follow up and assess the development of these projects as agreed. "Meetings with administrative teams were also held to lay down the proper plans needed, and mull over any possible remarks or recommendations if required," Abdullah said.
The humanitarian missions done abroad spanned visits to new entities Dar Al Ber have recently contracted for carrying out a number of charity projects, Abdullah stated. "Further visits were also organised to some countries for carrying out medical, relief and general campaigns as needed."
