The Dubai Police have started issuing 'good conduct' certificates for Emiratis who have served time in minor criminal or financial cases.
The move is aimed at helping the Emiratis find suitable work and "integrate in society", according to Major-General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation.
"The Dubai Police spare no effort to make all members of society happy and help rehabilitate former inmates in a good way," the officer added.
The good conduct certificate can be obtained online via the Dubai Police website and smart app, he explained. "This certificate will help recruit more Emiratis in all fields so that they can be effective citizens."
