Indian superstar Rajnikanth, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, director Shankar and music maestro A R Rahman made a grand entry via helicopter at the Burj Al Arab on Thursday to meet the Dubai media. The cast and crew of highly anticipated film 2.0 are in Dubai for the audio launch of the movie that will take place in Burj Park this evening.
Akshay Kumar, who plays villain in the movie, said that Rajnikanth is the most professional actor he has ever worked with.
Rajnikanth did not speak much but when asked if the audience will see him playing a simple character on screen anytime soon, he said: "I am a simple person off screen, so no one is interested in my off-screen personality. Nobody likes to see Rajnikanth as is."
The entire movie is made in 3D format, but the director refused to share plot details of the movie. "Even if I share a little detail about the plot, the audience will sense the story. I want to surprise them."
There is a buzz that Tamil stars Kamal Haasan and Dhanush will also attend the audio launch of the movie in Dubai. 2.0 is slated to release on January 25 next year.
