His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has marked International Women's Day with gracious words directed to women all over the world.
"March 8 is a wonderful and beautiful day for women all over the world. International Women's Day is a day that the whole world celebrates. We celebrate women in the UAE as nurturers of our future generations, partners in development and change makers. I hope you grow every year in strength, radiant beauty, and generousity.
He also pointed out that his team is nearly two-thirds composed of women:
"70 per cent of my work team is comprised of women. I thank them on this and every day for their efforts. Without them we would not be where we are today. I hope every minister and government official celebrates their efforts. With you, the UAE grows in strength and greatness."
