A 16-year-old boy was arrested by the Dubai police for stabbing to death a 13-year-old boy during a brawl in Al Qusais area.
A group of youngsters were involved in a brawl and trashed a boy who was playing with his bicycle near his house. The suspect stabbed the teenager in his chest and fled the scene. The victim, soaked in blood, tried to reach his house but collapsed on his way.
Unconscious, he was rushed to the hospital but passed away in the ambulance.
The Dubai police confirmed that the competent security services have already begun preliminary investigations to check the circumstances of the murder.
The police further said that the16-year-old confessed and surrendered himself at the Al Qusais police station one hour after he committed the crime.
During the police investigation, he said that the victim has abused him and insulted his family. He got angry and stabbed him in the chest but he didn't mean to murder him. After fleeing the scene, he decided to surrender himself.
The 16-year-old was transferred to the Dubai public prosecution.
After the completion of legal and administrative procedures, the victim's body was handed to his family. The deceased's cousin broadcasted a video of his burial at the Al Qusais cemetery on Instagram. He described the deceased as a quiet boy, not usually involving himself in brawls.
