Emirates General Petroleum Corporation, Emarat, and the Dubai Roads and Transportation Authority, RTA, has launched a traffic awareness campaign to promote safe driving on Dubai highways.
As a part of the campaign, which runs from August 12to 15, the RTA will be handing out a booklet, entitled “The Road Travellers Guide,” which includes a route map to provide motorists with information on distance and tips on safe driving, to travellers stopping at the Emarat Al Hassa service station.
The RTA said the campaign will especially target long distance travellers, such as those travelling from Dubai to Saudi Arabia.
Hussain Kazim, Manager Corporate Communications at Emarat, welcomed the corporation’s participation in the campaign and said Emarat is committed to supporting customer-focused activities, programmes and events.
“The corporation focuses on traffic awareness campaigns as they are instrumental in educating the motorist on the safety of not just the driver but also for passengers travelling in the vehicle,” he said.
“Working hand in hand with the RTA to drive awareness of such initiatives helps us educate people on the importance of safe driving. As more and more people become aware of their actions on the roads, the safer the journey becomes for them and fellow motorists,” he added.
