Hussain Al Saffar, Director of the department, said: “The Drivers Training and Qualification department has been keen to develop a comprehensive questionnaire including a number of important questions in both Arabic and English, which are useful in the development process.
The questionnaire addresses comments and accommodates them to be in consistence with the vision of the Licensing Agency (safe driver, safe vehicle and internationally high standard services).”
He also indicated that the questions covered several aspects such as those related to the entity itself in terms of compliance, training procedures as per the approved policies, the standardised training curriculum, established fees, how the front office staff in driving schools deal with trainees, measuring the trainees’ satisfaction of the driving skills acquired during the training, the extent of trainers’ compliance with the training hours as well as other significant development aspects.
He said the RTA call centre’s staff communicated with the new drivers, and selected various samples and segments with different nationalities, languages and professions in order to identify their opinions about the questionnaire. Such cooperation seeks to reach the best positive results intended to develop the training sector of the driving schools in Dubai. He added: “We constantly seek to lay down development initiatives and plans that aim at promoting and developing the driving schools in Dubai to the highest international standards in this field.
This is achieved through providing the best training programmes to trainees delivered by competent instructors in the driving institutions and centres, which is positively reflected on promoting safe driving and instilling good traffic culture among people in terms of the necessity to abide by the rules and laws. Such trend would contribute to lessening the future traffic accidents caused by recklessness and non-compliance.”
