The intersection bridge was constructed as part of the infrastructure development initiative of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to ease traffic congestion in various parts of the emirates.
Speaking to Khaleej Times, Yahya Al Reyaysa, Director-General of the Ajman Municipality, said the President’s road development initiative covered the areas which usually witnessed heavy traffic jams.
The projects including this intersection would help a great deal in solving the traffic issue in the emirate. Motorists passing through these areas would enjoy a free, safe and smooth travel.
He explained that the President’s initiatives would contribute a great deal in enhancing infrastructure that would also lead to attracting investment and economic development.
He urged motorists to follow the speed limit on the roads and instructions in the signboards put up by the municipality to ensure safety and smooth traffic for all road users.
