The digital boardroom witnessed participation from top digital leaders from government organizations in the UAE including Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure, Ministry of Education, Abu Dhabi City Municipality, Abu Dhabi Ports, Abu Dhabi Agriculture And Food Safety Authority, Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company - MASDAR, Abu Dhabi Health Services Company - Seha, Department Of Energy - Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council as they discussed their exposure and understanding of Cloud, barriers to its adoption such as data security, best practices on aligning stakeholders with investments in cloud computing as well as effective utilization of allocated budgets. Speaking about digitizing the government & public sector, Bassel Kassem, Regional Manager - South Gulf & Pakistan, Nutanix, said, "Government agencies must maintain the delicate balance between budget restrictions and the growing demands for IT services. As a result, IT teams in the public sector are tasked with making difficult decisions to demonstrate financial responsibility, while delivering all of the services the public needs. To accomplish their goals, government agencies need powerful, cost-effective IT solutions, and the flexibility to easily and effectively scale their environments. Nutanix provides predictable economics and scalability benefits of web-scale IT to help deliver better services with the current budget. We have helped hundreds of government departments and agencies make the transition to an efficient and virtualized datacenter built on web-scale hyperconverged infrastructure. We are happy to have had the opportunity to share this expertise with UAE government agencies and we look forward to continuing these discussions and deepening our engagement with them in the future.'' Nutanix provided another powerful agenda highlighting successful business cases, real ROI calculations, and freeing resources to focus on higher-order business challenges and perform knowledge.
