Faithful who are planning to make their first Umrah or Haj pilgrimage can now benefit from the first-ever virtual reality (VR) tour of the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.
Being showcased at Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Haj and Umrah booth at the ongoing Gitex Technology Week in Dubai, the VR tour, developed by Labbaik company, is designed to educate a potential pilgrim about the entire ritual process.
"The VR tour can train pilgrims on how to perform the whole set of rituals and it also delivers a 360° view of the holy places in Islam, including the Holy Kaaba," Labbaik staff Kareen Alan Kazzaz told Khaleej Times on Tuesday, October 8.
