Adnan Mufti blazed his way to a hurricane ton as UAE trounced Nepal by 63 runs in the second match of the ICC World Cricket league Championship at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Friday.
The hosts had beaten the same opposition by seven wickets on Wednesday.
Put into bat, UAE found themselves five wickets down for only 39 runs on the board. Nepal's Sompal Kami wreaked havoc claiming captain Rohan Mustafa (8), Ashfaq Ahmed (4), Ghulam Shabber (0), Rameez Shahzad (3) and the prized scalp of centurion Mufti.
But prior to getting out Mufti, in the company of Mohammad Boota (37) raised 80 runs for the sixth wicket. Mufti helped himself to 104 from 89 balls with his knock consisting of three sixes and eight fours.
It helped UAE put up a respectable 195 after Kami finished with impressive figures of 10-1-27-5.
In reply only Gyanendra Malla (42), Binod Bhandari (25) and Sagar Pun (21) made valuable contributions as four batsmen fell without scoring.
Amjad Javed (3) was the pick of the bowlers, while Mohammad Naveed, Rohan Mustafa and Imran Haider finished with two wickets apiece.
