Eight franchise teams are gearing up for the Abu Dhabi T10 team draw which will be held in Dubai on Tuesday, a press release said.
The eight participating teams will be divided into two groups that will determine the match schedule for the world's only ICC-sanctioned ten-over cricket tournament.
This year, a number of new teams are joining the Abu Dhabi T10 league, including Deccan Gladiators, Delhi Bulls, Bangla Tigers, Qalandars and Karnataka Tuskers.
They will join Maratha Arabians, Northern Warriors and an eighth, as yet unannounced team.
The battle-lineups will be drawn in Dubai on Tuesday.
Welcoming the teams for the formal draw, Shaji Ul Mulk, chairman of the Abu Dhabi T10, said, "This is the first major draw in which the groupings of the Abu Dhabi T10 league will be determined for the teams to prepare their battle-winning strategies against their opponents. I wish them all good luck for an exciting tournament.
"This year's tournament will be completely different from the past two editions as the league moves to its new home in Abu Dhabi and for ten days will become the focus of the cricket world."
Following the team draw, Abu Dhabi T10 will see all eight franchise teams fill out their rosters in the Player's Draft.
The organisers will soon announce the date for the Draft.
