Noor Al Yamen defeated Ocean Fair International by a 53-run margin to emerge champions in the 17th Shijana Cricket Cup cricket tournament held at the Ocean Fair Sports Ground.
Shameer Ahmed of Shijana Trading presided over the presentation ceremony.
Batting first, Noor Al Yemen scored 214 for six wickest in the allotted 20 overs. Mohamed Botta (69), Mohamed Ikram (49 not out) and Ashfaq Ahmed (45) were among runs for Noor Al Yemen. Ocean Fair's Shafaqat Ali took two wickets for 42 runs.
In reply, Ocean Fair lost wickets at regular intervals before being restricted to 161 for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Waheed Ahmed (three for seven), Mohamed Botta (2 for 24) and Sarkar Mehdi (2 for 33) were among the wicket-takers for Noor Al Yemen.
