A magnitude 5.5 earthquake shook parts of Batangas and Metro Manila on Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The quake struck off Nasugbu at 12:25pm(local time), reports CNN.
The center of the quake, which was tectonic in origin and has a depth of 123 kilometers, was located at 54 kilometers west of Nasugbu, Batangas.
The tremor was felt at Intensity 3 in Quezon City, according to Phivolcs. The centre also warned of possible aftershocks.
