Dubai eyes Expo 2020 to showcase its vibrancy, development and foresight. It is already the hub of trade and tourism for the region, and the landmark multinational event will make it the global heartthrob for investment and leisure. In pursuance of that objective, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Sunday endorsed the model design of the Enterprise Command & Control Centre (EC3), which will cost Dh335 million. This initiative will have gigantic economic dividends in years to come. It will start moving the wheel of development and constructions throughout the country as Dubai prepares to host millions of tourists, entrepreneurs and decision-makers. The EC3 facility comprises of office spaces, auditorium, press center and four utility buildings, and its greatest achievement will be an accreditation from Green Buildings (gold rating). Which is why Shaikh Mohammed directed the authorities concerned to speed up construction and deliver it on time in order to manage the mega event to perfection. The centre will act as a unified platform linking various units of RTA's operational agencies.
The UAE's success story owes a lot to its leadership vision and its commitment to state-of-art development. The Emirates endeavours for a lifestyle that is second to none, and passionate enough to provide the best to its citizens and expatriates. The speed at which the UAE believes in developing and progressing is worth emulating by the developing world. Which is why Expo 2020 is an opportunity for the Arab state to stand out with pride and perfection, and showcase its multi-texture strengths. Dubai is resolved to lead from the front in development, innovation and big-ticket businesses. Expo 2020 is the way to go to see a bonanza in growth and infrastructure development.
