Soft, moist, bouncy and delicious, mozzarella cheese is a versatile dairy product that is easy on the palate, and no matter how you choose to prepare it - whether it's cooked into a sweet, spicy or savoury dish, grated or simply tossed and consumed fresh - the cheese adds a new depth of flavour in each bite.
The texture and flavour is also a great hit with young ones, making it an ideal snack. But taste aside, what makes mozzarella cheese truly rewarding is its long list of health benefits. Here are few:
Lowers blood pressure: Mozzarella cheese contains biotin, also known as Vitamin B7, which is known to lower blood glucose levels, notably in diabetic people. It helps meet the nutritional needs of expectant mothers, who require a healthy dose of vitamins for a healthy pregnancy.
Strengthens bones: An ounce of mozzarella cheese contains around 18 per cent of one's daily calcium intake. This makes the cheese a fantastic addition to aid in the maintenance of bones, joints, teeth and nails.
Maintains muscles: The cheese is an ideal source of protein, making it an essential element when looking to boost muscle strength and keep the body energetic.
Builds immunity: If you're looking to reduce the chances of falling sick, then mozzarella cheese is your best bet. The cheese contains plenty of probiotics that combat inflammation, promotes immunity and improves gut health.
Low in sodium: Mozzarella has one of the lowest sodium content among cheeses, which makes it a great-tasting option to enjoy cheesy delights. Low sodium also means reduced risks of heart attacks, strokes and kidney damage, lower LDL cholesterol, among others
