These seminars will take place in Madinat Zayed at HCT Men’s College on September 3; in Abu Dhabi at ADDED’s main office on September 5; and in Al Ain at the Abu Dhabi Chamber on September 12.
As ADDED works to provide opportunities for companies to grow, one of the focuses will be exporting.
Dr. Adeeb Al Afifi, Director of Foreign Trade and Export Support commented, ‘Many companies can sell their goods and services outside the UAE. By doing this it helps reduce their dependence on the UAE market and will contribute to its growth and profitability.’
‘As companies grow the economy of Abu Dhabi and the UAE grow,’ he added.
The importance that exporting plays in the development of individual companies and the overall economy is emphasized by the support this series of seminars is receiving. The Abu Dhabi Chamber, Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development (ADCED), Western Region Development Council (WRDC), and the Industrialist Union Society encourage companies to attend.
The seminar is designed to cover four topics, as the program’s manager elaborated, ‘Many people are not aware that both goods and services can be exported, so we want to explain this to people and companies. Let companies know how exporting can help with the challenges they are facing. What are some of the things that a company’s management needs to keep in mind before exporting and how Export Support can provide help to exporters and potential exporters.’
The introduction to exporting seminars is the first in a series of seminars to be conducted this fall by ADDED’s Export Support division. Dr. Adeeb mentioned that in September seminars on how sustainable business practices can provide a company a competitive advantage will be held as well as on export logistics, and in October, Export Support division will organize a mission to Saudi Arabia, Followed by participation in SIAL exhibition which will be held in Paris. In November a seminar that brings trade finance, legal, and export insurance together to explain how to defeat risk in exporting.
