The Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, sponsor for the Middle East Stevie Awards and organisers of the Stevie Awards 2020, has announced that the virtual award ceremony shall be held on August 25, 2020, at 2:00pm (UAE time), where 153 award innovators and winners shall be honored.
The award received nominations from 17 countries in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region. The winners are categorised according to the awards they won with 84 winners receiving the Golden Category, 33 winners receiving Silver Category, and 36 winners for the Bronze Category. The awards shall be distributed in the virtual ceremony and shall be attended by over 600 participants for around one and a half hour.
Mohamed Ali Mosbeh Al Nuaimi, chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that the award is a true achievement that enhances the great efforts of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and the close follow up and supervision of Sheikh Mohamed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah and their full support to the Chamber of Commerce. He noted that first award ceremony from the emirate Ras Al Khaimah under the sponsorship of the RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry came as a result of a strategic agreement signed in February 2020 with the US world's premier first business awards to host the first version of the Stevie Awards Middle East in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, which shall also host the program and award ceremony for the next two years, after which it shall be once in every two years.
Al Nuaimi added that the award targets many categories including management innovation in a number of companies and sectors; while the corporate communication and public relations award category honors the innovation in the communication management and use of technology.
Additionally, the customer service awards categories, target innovation and excellence in planning, practices and use of technologies for customer services; and the human resources categories which targets the management and planning. The marketing award categories is dedicated for the best practices, planning and achievements in marketing; and the new product management award categories honor the innovation in product management in 12 different sectors, including website, videos, apps, and live-events, annual reports and other publications, events as well as direct offers and technology awards.
Al Nuaimi affirmed that hosting the event offers the RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry a great opportunity to enhance its promotion in an innovated manner that fits the current developments, as an introductory promotional video about the emirate shall be presented and a recorded speech of the Chamber's chairman shall be broadcasted during ceremony opening.
