Japanese conglomerate Panasonic showcased its latest innovations at Gitex Technology Week 2018, spanning several key industries that are set to shape the digital future.
The company flaunted new products across different categories, among them education, retail, hospitality, real estate, corporate, leisure and entertainment.
The new products are aimed to strengthen the firm's "resolve to empower its customers by introducing never-before-seen technologies that meet their ever-changing needs and steer them to future business competitiveness", Hiroki Soejima, managing director at Panasonic Middle East and Africa, told Khaleej Times in a statement.
"We concentrate our efforts on the R&D of next-generation technologies, working directly with our end users to understand everyday problems they encounter in their fields and follow up by engineering solutions to solve their toughest challenges," said Yasuo Yamasaki, director of the system solutions and communications division at Panasonic Marketing Middle East & Africa FZE (PMMAF).
A highlight of the Panasonic stand was the unveiling of the Autonomous Living Space Cabin at Gitex Technology Week 2018.
The cabin is envisioned for various valuable experiences as future living space. Based on this concept, a luxurious, modern and high-quality living space is created inside the vehicle. This next-generation cabin space offers four types of in-car environments: living room, business, relaxation and entertainment.
"Gitex over the years has evolved from a pure IT-based exhibition to B2B solutions, encouraging startups to keep pace with the technological advancements," added Anthony Peter, director of the corporate communications division at PMMAF. "Most importantly, the mindset needs to change to encompass the technology advancements to bring in process changes."
