Artificial Intelligence (AI) is set to have a greater impact on businesses across various sectors, resulting in organisations across the UAE and GCC region adopting impactful AI strategies.
The need for a well thought out AI strategy and many more of such insights will take center stage at the 2019 Artelligence Forum, which will be inaugurated by the UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence Omar Sultan Al Olama. Taking place on September 4-5, 2019, at the Address Dubai Mall, the forum will gather over 300 government, business and technology leaders together under one roof to understand how AI will impact their business models and help them prepare an AI strategy at the board level. The biggest names from across the globe will show how far they have reached in AI implementation and what the future looks like for their industry with AI at the centre.
In the keynote address, Omar Sultan Al Olama will share his insights on the UAE AI Strategy, outlining the UAE's ambition to be at the forefront of technological revolution, and highlighting the ministry's contribution to the UAE. Along with this, he will also speak on the ministry's initiatives to make lives easier for the residents and citizens of the country. Prior to his appointment, the minister worked on developing the UAE's Artificial Intelligence Strategy, making it the first such strategy of its kind globally.
The speaker line up at the forum includes AI industry leaders from across the globe, including Richard Vdovjak, principal scientist, Data Science & AI - Royal Philips (The Netherlands); Andrea Renda, member, AI Expert Group - European Commission (Belgium), Johnson Poh, Head of Data Science & Artificial Intelligence - United Overseas Bank, (Singapore), Prakhar Mehrotra, Senior Director Machine Learning - Walmart (USA); Reza Khorshidi, chief data scientist - AIG (UK); and Abhijit Akerkar, head of Applied Sciences Business Integration - Lloyds Banking Group (UK); along with expected participation from the Prime Minister's Office, Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, Ministry of Interior, Dubai Electricity & Water Authority, Abu Dhabi Chamber, Smart Dubai, Adnoc among many others.
