There is a growing demand for 3D printing materials in manufacturing and construction as the UAE continues to invest in developing a competitive knowledge-based economy to fulfill the goals outlined in its Vision 2021 and in preparation for Expo 2020 Dubai.
"The 3D printing market in the UAE has grown over the past years with various industries using 3D printers to produce prototypes. However, with the Expo 2020 around the corner, the government is looking to maximise efficiencies and the Dubai 3D Printing Strategy aims to use the technology to cut cost in many sectors," said Latik Gupta, head of Jumbo Enterprise.
3D printing technologies, he added, need "to provide businesses with a better way to develop and manufacture not only prototype parts but also production parts with detailed precision and smooth output at faster speeds."
Jumbo Enterprise had partnered with HP by expanding its range of products and solutions with the latter's Jet Fusion 3D printers.
Industries in the UAE that would benefit from 3D printing, Gupta added, are the medical, automotive and industrial machinery sectors, among others.
