A celebration of culinary excellence, the inaugural edition of DXB F&B Awards, presented by Khaleej Times’ wknd. magazine in association with Reckitt — Dettol Pro Solutions and Truckers, brought together culinary connoisseurs and innovators redefining the taste of the town. The gala awards night, which took place on November 24 at Address Skyview Dubai, honoured the flourishing culinary landscape of Dubai, which has transformed the city into the ‘food capital’ of the world.
Bringing together culinary stars from diverse cultural backgrounds, the night was a feast for the senses, with an extravaganza of live performances and panel discussions, offering guests an opportunity to exchange ideas with fellow movers and shakers of the F&B industry.
“It’s very nice to connect with all key players in the industry and understand their business needs and challenges. Our solutions are designed for businesses, to help them create a safe and healthy environment, both for the guests, the staff and their wellbeing,” said Melda Ates, Reckitt's Global Business Solutions Marketing Lead, who delivered a sponsor presentation at the awards ceremony.
The panel discussions of the evening spotlighted pertinent culinary concepts in the region, including the art of menu localisation and the ‘dark kitchen revolution’ and operations in the city.
The DXB F&B Awards showcased a variety of categories to honour the diverse talents within the industry, such as Best Newcomer, Best Brunch, Most Instagrammable Cafe, Best Pan-Indian Restaurant and a lot more, split across ‘Popular Choice’ and ‘wknd. Choice’ Awards.
The list of winners from the evening included: Most Innovative Cafe: Sokos Cafe, Fastest Growing Hospitality Company: VTR Hospitality, Best Pan-Indian restaurant: Pincode, Longest Serving Bakery: Mister Baker, Best Indian Fine Dining: The Crossing, Best Asian Street Food: Dhaba Lane, The Best IndoChinese Restaurant Gypsy Chinese, Best Milkshake: Basking Robbins, Best Homegrown New Entry: Halla Restaurant, Most Interesting Concept: FiLLi Select won big in the wknd. Choice Awards.
Whereas, the Popular Choice Awards included, Best Breakfast: The Hamptons Cafe, Best Brunch: Robertos, Best Family Dining: Maison Mathis, Best Kids-Friendly Restaurant, Masha and The Bear, Best Business Lunch: Hutong Dubai, Best Vegan Restaurant: Seva Table, Best Newcomer: Honda by Pierchic, Best Fusion Restaurant: Masti Dubai, Best Steakhouse: Hunter and Barrel, Best Middle Eastern Restaurant: Bait Maryam and Most Instagramable Cafe: Forever Rose Cafe.
The award for Excellence in Dining Environment, powered by Dettol, was bagged by Tresind.
