Why fuss over the colour of jerseys?

It is a matter of concern for all that a trivial issue of change of colour of jersey worn by the Indian cricket team should trigger polarisation among the communities (Some in India's opposition see red over new orange cricket jerseys; KT online). I think it hardly matters if BCCI is planning to change the colour of the jerseys to orange, which is the favourite colour of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and known as bhagwa. However, this should not be given a communal tinge by the media.
These are minor issues and should be ignored. What merits our attention is the quality of batting, bowling and fielding. But when will we learn this? People are wasting time on social media debating needlessly.
