My wife did her MBA in 1983 from Pune University in materials management. After our marriage she shifted to Mumbai with me and we tried to get her a suitable job. But we were not successful as many companies do not want to hire ladies.

She did, however, find work later but it lasted for a little less than two years. Since then she has been suffering from depression, which makes me feel guilty about it. The moral of the story: Getting the right kind of opening for women in good companies, specially in Mumbai, is never an easy thing.
