Dubai is just awesome
When I read the report Dubai set for massive facelift (KT, October 3), and learnt about the project details, I was astounded. My mind went back to my home state.
Despite plenty of rivers and massive rainfall, Kerala still faces water shortage. The government is a hostage in the hands of the land mafia who are ruining the forests and water bodies to construct resorts and airports. Verdant land is being turned into desert without any logic. Making money from dubious projects and methods is the only consideration.
On the other hand, looking at Dubai, one is wonderstruck at the development and facilities it is giving to people — the locals as well as the expatriates.
