Corruption vs democracy!

The Panama papers are bringing out strange bedfellows. One such case is noted lawyer Asma Jahangir defending Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif by saying 'accountability at the cost of democracy is unacceptable'.
She implies that the country needs Sharif in order to progress whatever that means in her vocabulary and Pakistan minus Sharif would mean poverty. Well, that is funny. What about the poverty that is already reeling in our country? Instead of across-the-board accountability, she proposes a selective approach. That is not going to work.
