The multiple Grammy winner and global guitar icon Carlos Santana is returning to Dubai as part of his Luminosity Tour 2016. After last year's sold-out concert, fans of the iconic musician will get another chance to see him live on February 26 at the 14th edition of the Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival 2016 at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre.
Santana's special brand of music, known the world over, fuses rock and Latin American music with blues, jazz and world music. He's sold millions of records, toured the world countless times, influenced generations of musicians and has become a musical ambassador to fans around the world. Last year after the release of his album Corazon, he became the second recording artist to have a top ten album in the charts for six consecutive decades.
Leading the stage before Santana is Argentinian group La Bomba De Tiempo. The seventeen percussionists will infuse energy on stage and warm the audience up for Santana with a unique show. Their music is performed through a live dialogue between the musicians and their director, creating an improvised performance based on a code of more than 70 signs made with hand gestures.
