We know this did not happen. So do you.
This is in fact a glimpse of a stunning trailer of the movie 'Geostorm', released by Warner Brothers.
The trailer shows ominous dark clouds engulfing the city, then cuts to a scene where mighty waves can be seen submerging the emirate.
People can be seen running in panic as the sea devours buildings at the coastline, much like the tsunami that struck in 2004.
Dubai is not the only city shown in this trailer.
The production house has released multiple trailers of different cities being marred by extreme weather conditions, Mumbai, Dubai, Moscow, Rio de Janeiro, to name a few.
'Geostorm' is an upcoming action film co-written, produced, and directed by Dean Devlin. It stars Gerard Butler, and is about a satellite designer who tries to save the world from a storm of epic proportions caused by climate-controlling satellites.
Warner Bros. later released the complete trailer of the movie
