His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa was at the forefront of those who received the body of the late His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa upon arrival Bahrain on Thursday.

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister,  senior Royal Family members, in addition to senior officers of the Bahrain Defence Force, Interior Ministry and National Guard, were also present.

Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the world's longest-serving prime minister, died at the age of 84 while undergoing medical treatment in the United States, state media announced on Wednesday.

Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Prince Khalifa’s great nephew, has replaced him as Prime Minister.
