Dubai - His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has issued a resolution promoting 1,801 officers and non-commissioned officers of the Dubai Police.
Dubai Police Chief Major-General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina thanked Shaikh Mohammed for the generous move and his keenness to closely follow-up the staff of the Dubai Police which will serve as a motivation for them.
He also extended appreciation for Shaikh Mohammed's generous initiatives aimed at promoting the UAE in the economic, social, medical, cultural security and humanitarian spheres.
Al Mazeina said according to the resolution Director of the General Department of Operations for Transport and Rescue Brigadier Pilot Anas Abdul Rahman Al Matrooshi; and Director of the Department of Administrations Brigadier Al Salal Saeed bin Huwaidi Al Falasi, both have been promoted to the level of Major-General; in addition to eight Colonels who were promoted to the level of Brigadier; 17 Lieutenant Colonels were made Colonels; 54 Majors elevated to the position of Lieutenant Colonel; 60 Captains were made Majors; 68 First Lieutenants promoted to the position of Captains; and 106 Lieutenants to First Lieutenants.
The rest of the promoted staff were non-commissioned officers of different ranks.
