ABU DHABI -- The Federal National Council (FNC) will hold its 10th session of the first ordinary and 15th legislative chapter under the chair of Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, the Speaker of the FNC, to discuss the policies of the Ministry of Social Affairs on the social security and the federal law on the endorsement of the federal final accounts, the final accounts of autonomous bodies attached to the fiscal year ended 31/12/2010.

During the session, the FNC will raise motions on a number of issues. Dr Sheikha Al Owais will ask Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, Acting Minister of Health, about the privileges granted to Intern doctors. Other MPs will ask Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister for Financial Affairs, three questions, on setting up of the Board for the Federal Custom Authority, determining the interest rates of banks operating in the country and salary increase of the pensioned military.

The FNC will refer the topic on the policies of the Ministry of Labour on streamlining the labour market to the Health, Labour and Social Affairs Committee, the policy of the State Ministry for the FNC Affairs to the temporary committee composed of those who raised the motion on the issue, while the policy of the topic on the Higher Education and Scientific Research will be referred to the Education, Youth, Information and Culture Affairs Committee.
