Dubai-based low-cost airline Flydubai is offering direct flights between Dubai International and Catania Airport in Sicily, Italy.
Flydubai officially launched the service on 13 June and is operating out of Terminal 2 at DXB on a daily schedule.
Catania is an ancient port city on Sicily's east coast located at the foot of Mt Etna, an active volcano.
The new route offers travellers low-cost access Catania while linking Sicily to Dubai's extensive international air network, according to whatson.
The direct flights to and from Catania will codeshare with Emirates and start at Dh1,895, including 7kg of hand baggage for economy class and Dh9,745 including 40kg of checked baggage for business class.
So, how about a getaway to the second largest city on the island of Sicily?
